What is Government to me?

Government to me is a group of people who control what goes on in our country starting with the six foundational principles and the three that I find most important are the Separation of Powers, Limited Government, and Federalism. Government according to the constitution and what is it today are similar in most ways. The way I see government is several groups of diverse people discussing the way we make laws, execute laws, and judge who interprets the laws. The U.S. government also has three branches, which are Legislative, Executive, and Judicial, which derive from the Separation of Powers. The dominance of the federal government is that all laws of the constitution are the supreme law of the land. This creates the Supremacy Clause Act 5. With federalism the state’s power is determined by the voting qualifications. The state’s power is limited by the 14th, 15th, 19th, 24th, and 26th amendments. The amendment ratification process is when Congress proposes the amendment and the State can choose to ratify it or not. Interstate relations are what brings article 4 into federalism. Article 4 of the constitution was called Full Faith & Credit, Privileges, & Immunities and it states that relationships between states where the crime was committed by request from the governor. The U.S constitution has defined federalism as a fundamental aspect of American government. The states aren’t only regional representative of the federal government, but they are allowed the responsibilities and independent powers. Also in the U.S constitution it states that federalism would be the relationship between the state and national government.
