However, in order to cover even the most advanced topics, the course moves through the material quickly. Consequently, this makes it difficult for beginners as they struggle to apply even foundational concepts learned in the beginning of the course when more ideas are being taught as the class progresses.
She contributed by writing her own questions and the cross-examination questions for Miss Ivane with Anna. I thought Megan, Jess, and Aneesa did a great job at memorizing their character and answering the cross examination questions during the trial. I wrote the cross-examinations for Bertha and Professor Howe, as well as the closing statement. I also reviewed the direct questions and answers to ensure they could not be objected too. We all finished our work in a timely manner during the class work time, or had our assigned parts completed to discuss.
Makayla is a use first sequence, which can be very beneficial as long as it’s not hindering her life or work. After reading her story it looks like she’s not using all of her patterns and gets stuck on one, she needs to take some risks and think outside the box to get stuff done. I don’t know exactly what her confluence score is but it looks like it’s a low one since she’s not using it, she needs to be using it as needed to help her with her school and life. John is a use first precise
The only thing she could have done better was to put more effort into finding the motivation of her characters actions in the book she read, Monster. For the next group member, Tristan, I feel life she deserved a 4 for appropriate eye contact and because she was about to explain the events in her book very well and why the character in her book turned out the way he did. She could have asked more questions towards the other group members to further the discussion. Finally, I judge that Mariana deserved a 3+ in the discussion because she demonstrated use of the socratic circle sentence starters and used good eye contact. Mariana could have been more outspoken with and events in her book and what she thought about them.
My scores are as follows sequence 27 (use first) precise 27 (use first) technical 28 (use first) confluent 25 (use first) and I identify as a strong-willed learner. Being in the military, I think sequence plays a very big part in my job. There is training and appointments that I have to be at everyday, so I have to have a set schedule at all times. Being an aircraft maintainer, I have deadlines to have jets ready to fly. For example, my unit typically fly's airplanes twice a day.
Makayla My advice to Makayla would be not to solely rely on sequence. Its ok to want to go in order while taking tests, but if you don’t know the answer use confluence to move ahead, sometimes the answer may be in another question. I would also give the same advice for completing assignments. She should definitely make a list and prioritize her assignments but use confluence while doing the list.
Ms. Hageman I thought was okay and we’ve had our ups and downs. Some teacher could be the best people you will ever meet and some can be the worst. Last year I was a wrestling manager and I met Mr. Gronewold.
I have witnessed Melissa’s thirst for knowledge exceedingly grows beyond the expectations for a high school student, throughout her high school career. She is a leader by example, both in and out of the classroom. Academically,
McDonaldization is a term to describe a sociological phenomenon that is rapidly growing in our society. McDonaldization is used to rationalize everyday situations and tasks and make them efficient. This process takes a task or many tasks and breaks them down into smaller tasks. This process is repeated until all tasks have been broken down into the smallest task possible. These tasks are then simplified to find the most efficient way for completing each task given.
Esme Codell is a fifth grade teacher at a brand new public school in Iowa. Codell is a stellar example in applying different theories to classroom practices. She applies all of the learning theories in her classroom daily. To start, Codell applies the behavioral learning theories three different principles in her classroom.
Mckayla: When using your learning patterns you should try to use more than sequence learning pattern to help you complete writing tasks. Sequence is very great with helping you stay organized and double checking your work, but if you want a better grade you will have to use other learning patterns. When completing a writing assignment dig deeper into your confluence learning pattern. Confluence learning pattern will help you to come up with your own ideas and help you be very creative. If you will use confluence learning pattern your papers wouldn’t lack originality.
My note taking has also improved with the methods i have been instructed in. If my friends or others desire it, I will assist them in bettering their study habits as well. It is better for us all in the long run. I am hoping to keep these, and other practices, in memory when taking future classes and in improving my
In College Algebra I decided to change the preparation techniques I used for the class as well as taking good notes so I would be able to review them without having any confusion. For the lectures I believed I did a good job in a few techniques the textbook presented such as “Be Here Now”, good listening skills and note-taking skills. The preparation for lecture that the book gives is reviewing the notes that was taken in the previous lecture. For College Algebra a few of the topics presented I believed that I had a good enough understanding and knew the topic beforehand that I didn’t review the notes, however for my other classes I do review the notes but only briefly. During each lecture the behavior I always I have had has been focused
Memorize: Just like building muscle memory, you will also need to mentally memorize the pattern that you want to play. Look away from the page and try to play the tone to check out if you have rightly memorized it and also if you can play without making mistakes. 18. Experiment: Get to know the details of each exercise, explore ways which can improve the exercise and also experimenting with the tempo and the volume. Try playing the same pattern in different tempos to see how the results might be.
Nonetheless, students should identify which few methods enhance their memory and understanding best when learning, as different students have different learning needs. Likewise, students, who are usually required to recall learning materials, are recommended to view future new materials with strong enthusiasm and determination (Shuilleabhain, 2014), as it is an approach to motivate students. However, students should take care not to practice learning techniques they are not familiar with, especially when nearing the exams; as students who, Lan (cited in Bednall and Kehoe, 2011, pp. 205-226) believes, “engage in unfamiliar strategies may induce a high working memory load, thereby diminishing the effectiveness of their study efforts.” Also, both teachers and parents alike should take the practical and relevant steps in ensuring that their students/children are well schooled in the manner of implementing effective learning techniques in their academic life.
