Those who believe Disney films aren’t sexist argue that at the time of each movie the standards of society were different then today’s and to go and change the originals, the classics that are loved my billions around the world, would be ethically and artistically wrong. Oppositely to the initial claim the film Beauty and the Beast doesn’t leave a sexist message. Belle is the first princess who is brave, smart, loving, caring, and u-materialistic.and doesn’t give the impression of love at first sight, instead showing how it grows from nothing. She inspires young girls to be courageous, kind and to look past outer appearance to who a person is at heart. Teaching the lesson that “beauty is only skin deep” and the actions you take not only impact you but those around you as shown by the curse not only applying to Adam but all of the staff. While being an example that demonstrates how you shouldn’t change who you are to fit society’s standards, its okay to be different or peculiar.

Though the majority of the Disney consumer group believe that Disney can do no wrong and is a innocent company that increases imagination and creativity in children while teaching them hard to learn lessons.
