Shelley Lavender is the president of Boeing Military Aircraft. The Boeing Military Aircraft is one the largest providers of military power, it serves to the United States and 50 other allied nations. There are 4 divisions of the BMA, they are: mobility, surveillance and engagement; global strike; autonomous systems; and vertical lift. She oversees approximately 12,000 people in her role as president of BMA. Previously, Lavender started out her career as an engineer and designed helicopters and now moved on to the management of 12,000 people within her division. She has been in the aerospace industry for about 30 years, meaning she’s extremely knowledgeable about both the engineering of many aerospace products and the management skills necessary for a company in this industry to succeed. She has held previous roles as the VP of Integrated Logistics for Boeing, VP of Global Strike, which is one of the divisions of BMA and responsible for executing helicopter products. She also worked as the Vice President/Chief Engineer of BMA.
