After reading "Shitty first drafts" by Anne Lamott and "Write before writing" by Donald M. Murray, I concede with their writing process declaration. Donald M. Murray shows the multiple choices to start writing in his article "Write before writing". He says writers should develop an absorption in what they are trying to say so they can incline more comprehension on the subject. Anne Lamott a professional writer uncovers the writers habits and they way they write. In "Shitty first drafts" she describes the thoughts of her own view of the writing process. She says most people write really bad first drafts even the good writers. She urges us to write a first draft just putting down whatever you think about in your head. Lamott demonstrates to us about her experience a a food critic. She visits a restaurant multiple times with fresh friends she would document any words that were said. This way, she did not have to think and think of words or ideas because her friends ejected words during the conversation about the meal. Accumulating all of her first drafts into one draft that combines all of her ideas collected into on "Shitty first draft". Lamott claims that she can now thoroughly check over her writing and finalize for a superb third draft. Lamott mentions about a "Downdraft;" you just get everything down on paper, an "Up-draft;" fixing and revising what you wrote, and a "Dental-draft;" finalizing everything and checking thoroughly very finely to create an outstanding third draft. Murray has taught me that not everyone can be the best writers and that we all have pretty bad first drafts. Knowing that even the most professional of writers have difficulty with their writing help not to feel useless and shows that anyone can get better by letting your thoughts wander and then progressing further from there. Reading "Shitty first drafts" and "Write before writing" showed me that it's ok to just write down useless things because they could turn out to be after all not useless. I realized that I had the same problem that others commonly had. This made me feel more positive about writing. Lamott's writing process intrigued me into improve my writing process because now I don’t have to override and overthink about my writing. It just goes to show that the things nearest to you are ideas you don't even realize that could help you. You realize things that you would not have if you did not write thoughts that were on your mind. I will try this strategy to improve my writing. I have learned a lot from her and I have been
