The Industrial revolution short and long term effects.
The industrial revolution brought on many changes both good and bad, the good changes were mostly long term and the bad changes were mostly short term. The positive changes included an increased number of jobs for people, economic and population booms, conquest of countries and education. Some of the negatives include an increasingly poor hygiene, Crowded cities that are badly designed, deaths from quickly transferring diseases such as smallpox, Pollution and the reliance on fossil fuels for the next few hundred years.
The industrial revolution also had many positives that helped Britain in the short term. One instance of a short-term positive is the economic boom England experienced, this helped them rise even further to become the world’s superpower. With this boom came increased business, and new rising business options. One of such new business options was the machine industry, making machines was important to make factories that mass produced

The industrial revolution gave birth to the first transportation system; trains. These completely changed how long it took to get around England. There were new laws for young people and women, this included education to be required and the minimum age of work raised so that young children could not be killed in the factories and raised working conditions for the children. The worker’s union was created for the betterment of factory workers. With the sudden increase in technology, people started creating new things, inventing things such as better medicine, the car, electricity. Life Expectancy was then higher than it was prior to the revolution. With a higher life expectancy came an increased population, this can bring a whole host of its own negatives
