Short Story: Guns Don 'T Cry'

There once was a farm in the countryside of Mexico, a family lived on the farm, a father with his 3 boys, their mother had died birthing the last of them. They were simple sheep farmers, they lived of their own land and only went to town extra laborers for expanding the pen for the sheep or build a new barn. The town was almost a day’s walk away, so all in all they were very secluded from everybody else. This also meant that there was a long way to go if anything happened, therefor he taught his children how to use guns at a very young age, and all of them did always carry a pistol or a rifle, if they left the house. He threw on a pair of simple jeans and a coat, he then grabbed his rifle and went outside. At first glance he could not locate the source of the frightened animals, but he could hear what sounded like a loud slurping. He came to the conclusion that it must be a mountain lion or something of similar size. He decided that it would be wisest to wake his sons, as a mountain lion could easily surprise a man. He woke all three and they quickly got dressed and grabbed their guns. They met outside the house in the twilight of the last rays on moon light, they decided to split up into two groups, the two oldest together and him and the youngest. The two oldest went counterclockwise around the peen and him and the youngest went clockwise. They had walked for some time in the cold and fresh air of this early morning, before the noticed anything importance. It was a dead sheep, but they almost missed it because there was no blood, just a circular bite mark on neck of the animal. Sometime went on and they were almost 3/5 of the way around the pen, before they started wondering there the two brothers
