A young women’s body had been found in a shallow grave in Lindley Woods. This body was wearing the exact same clothes Leanne wore on the day she went missing; police knew it had to be her. The body had been wrapped around in green bin-liners, tied with twine. Covering the head was a black bin-liner, held together with a dog collar tied around the neck. The hands had been tied together with cables.
In the story “So I ain’t no Good Girl “written by Sharon Flakes. I felt like the scene was very realistic, the characters made the scene very realistic by the way they were acting. The author described the scene pretty good when she said: “if I scream at him the whole street could hear me”. I can also relate to the scene in my everyday life. A boy and his girlfriend where at a bus stop with some other girls, And Raheem starts to act a little flirter with the good girls who made his girlfriend kind of upset about the situation, so she tries to talk about it, but he got mad at her and ended up making out with the good girl.
They thought it was going to be a normal investigation, but it turns out to be the scariest day of their lives. Bree and Neil are haunted by scary nightmares,visions and a ghost who wants people to know about her death. Wanting to find answer, they go to the extreme. Breaking into houses, going to the library and even going to a retirement home where Janet Reilly, or better known as Nurse Janet is living. Bree and Neil get an unsuspected twist when a friendly neighbor, Andy, turns out to be Rebecca's dad and is also the killer of Rebecca's mom, Alice, and even Rebecca.

Cool Teenagers “Greasy lake,” by Coraghessan Boyle, the short story focuses on three nineteen-year-old boys. They want to be cool and bad character. They are planning to celebrate their boring summer vacation night in the greasy lake. Boys are already drink beer, some marijuana. They reach at the greasy lake at 2 a.m.
Oddly enough, it was the disappearance of a boy named Robert Piest that would lead to the discovery of over 27 young men hidden under Gacy’s crawlspace. He was 15 years old when he mysteriously disappeared outside of a pharmacy where he worked. His mother was in the car waiting for him. Robert had told her he had to meet quickly with a contractor that had offered him a job and would be right back. He was never seen alive again.
Can an experience change a person’s outlook on life? One might think that they are the toughest person, but eventually they will realize they are not the only one. The exact same idea is shown in T. Coraghessan Boyle’s short story “Greasy Lake.” The short story “Greasy Lake” is about three friends, the narrator, Digby, and Jeff. One night the narrator and his friends go to Greasy Lake in the narrator’s mother’s car.
The Great Compromise represented the interest of those who wanted a strong national government and those who wanted states to have a strong voice by establishing a two-house Congress. History Alive, pg. 152 states, “The second house, the Senate, would represent the states. Each state would have two senators, to be elected by their state legislatures.” The Senate represented those who wanted a strong national government-the smaller states- because since their population was tiny compared to the massive population of the larger states, the Senate will make sure that all the states have an equal say in Congress.
‘All right!’ One friend said, and the other yelled, ‘Get it on!’” (212). Jeannette seems very depressed that her father would allow such a event to happen, nor not seem to care as much as a father should. This happening, makes readers and watchers understand how serious of a situation
She strives to appear as normal her in class, but “those five- and six-year olds were not fooled by the counterfeit human” when she would put her fingers in their mouths and hair (Fowler 102). In her experimental household, she and Fern were studied and encouraged to have physical contact. Therefore, Rosemary presumed holding onto her peers would help her gain the attention she received at home. Correspondingly, readers learn about Rosemary’s sexual life and her difficulties with continuing relationships. Readers can infer that her need for physical contact urges her to start sexual relationships she knows will not succeed as she announces that “the bar for sexual partners is much, much lower” than for friends (Fowler 148).
A train passes by the town of Villisca around this time. Police think that it’s because of the whistle of the train and the fog passing from room to room. In the Lake of the Woods by Tim O’Brien explores the human mind and the psychological mechanisms that people use to protect themselves from the truth. The novel follows John Wade, a politician who just lost a race for senator because the truth came out that he was involved in the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam war. Wade and his wife then go on vacation on the great lakes in Minnesota. The story examines Wade’s childhood and his relationship with his wife Kathy. One night Kathy goes missing and a boat is missing.
Then not much longer, she is approached by another young man, named Eddie. He wants to take her out for dinner. This time though she does not decline. While she on the date with Eddie, another guy with shaggy black hair stares at her and then his lips widen into a grin. We learn later that his grin was much more than a friendly smile, he really liked her too much.
Love is a “profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person” (Dictionary.com) that can be seen with not only the human eye, but felt through actions and emotions of others. Tim O’Brien compiles his experiences as well as intentional fictional stories into a commemoration novel depicting life in the war of Vietnam while discovering love in himself and his fellow soldiers in their journey together. Tim O’Brien uses a series of short stories compiled from his experiences to detail the love found in even the most seemingly loveless conditions. He conveys his feelings to cope with the losses, and celebrate the gains, even twenty years after it was over. Love is underlying in every short story he tells; for every gruesome experience exposed,
