The average salary for a WNBA player is around $102k. In contrast, the average salary for an NBA player is around 9.6 million dollars. When both genders are looked at in sports, women's sports are usually referred to as the “other” sport. This comes from the fact that male domination is present in so many different aspects of the world and sports are just one. This supremacy is usually formed in boys from the young age of being taught and start to think that they are better than the girls. Since they do not have any way to play together due to the fact that they are split up, they can’t understand each other enough to want to be together. Mixed-sex sports can help promote gender equality by breaking down barriers between genders and demonstrating that both boys and girls can compete at the same level. In a report done about the sport of Quidditch, they found that the usual claimed stereotypical values of a co-ed sport that made both genders uncomfortable were not present and that men and women both felt that same way. The research done said, “Findings revealed the coed structure of the sport led to a positive coed experience for women and men, which in turn developed an increased desire for inclusivity and equality. In addition, both genders reported stereotype reduction due to participation in the sport, and women also reported feeling increased levels of self-confidence and pride.” In this league, they encouraged inclusivity and showed how when playing together, the genders bring out the best of each other. The rumors that society presents that people in co-ed sports can’t be playing together were dismissed. Society normalized a way of playing sports where it's not as normal to find a league with both genders. This is not healthy for the younger generations since it teaches them that since they don’t really play together, they shouldn’t really interact with each other. Each person might have a different approach or strategy and when they put it into use, they could find more success. In addition, the different strengths that boys and girls have makes the sport much more advanced and fun to play. The difficulty of it depends on who’s playing, but, “Though women excel in stamina and endurance, it is important to note that men do have more muscle mass, denser bones, and are typically built larger than women. Therefore, women and men athletes both have their individual strengths and weaknesses when it comes to physical activity. Due to this, it is fallacious to claim that men are inherently more fit to play all sports and would outperform the female in every sport. By mixing the strengths of both female athletes and male athletes into a coed team, a strong, diverse, and skilled team is cultivated.” Both genders excel in different areas of sports and as kids find a mix of what their skills are, they use them with support from their teammates. Both boys and girls have different qualities that provide them with the ability to play and work hard. Even though they can be seen in different ways, they both can work on building up their skills. A point that some people may bring up is the biological aspects. The biological factor plays an important role in why most teams play by gender. They see the other gender's skills as a weapon and advantage that shouldn’t be used
