As you think about it, it’s actually a bad thing, with less technology in the school the students will be a step slower from the rest of the world. I propose we make sure all schools get the proper technology to help the student achieve in life. So think carefully how long can we let our kids and family members live without technology in their perspective
Do you want part of your education taken away? If you don 't then listen to the reasons why the school board should keep our Chromebooks. I think that Chromebooks should be allowed in Elementary schools because kids doesn 't have to waste paper and pencils. Also the parents and teachers do not have to buy ten to twenty textbooks for each class, and some textbooks are heavy for some students. My second reason is it is very easy to use, Wherever you go, there is going to be Wi-fi to connect to you 're Chromebook.

According to Timothy Synder, Laptops are a big distracter during classroom lectures. The students use their laptops in goggling facts about what the lecturer is teaching. For this reason, they miss out on other important points. There is a big difference between what a student might get on the internet and what the student may experience in the classroom because what a lecturer teaches in class is very rich and precise and it is so unlikely to get such information on the internet. Synder, further explains how internet is distracting because often students easily deviate from goggling facts relevant to their lecture and goggles about entertainment.
Amongst schools throughout the nation, the cell phone policy has been tested and altered to fit the restrictions on their use by students. The different advancements in technology have influenced many teachers and staff to allow leniency to cell phone use in the classroom, with the belief that they have purpose to assist in everyday learning. Others believe they have no place being on school property during school hours since loss, theft, or damage is possible. In addition, cellphones can be a distraction in classrooms which factors in faculty deciding what is to be done about cellular devices on the campus. The use of cell phones should not be in schools because of the amount of distraction it poses on kids, cheating that becomes easier in classrooms because of them, and the safety concerns it raises.
In a technology-based society, where their phones and the electronic lifestyle consumes people, many wonder why this high-tech era has not fully enveloped the classrooms. Textbooks are one of the few things that have not changed in the classroom. Dating back to the late 1600s, schools used books for all classrooms including science’s, mathematics, English classes, and many other classes, including electives. Textbooks have grown obsolete and only continue to grow this way, which is why iPads should start to compensate for textbooks in classrooms around the globe. iPads should stand in for textbooks because they would be more portable and efficient, they would save paper, and lastly, iPads would make learning more fun.
I want my future students to be able to work with the new technology or at least show them what it is like in the classroom. I know some schools now are allowing students to have tablets or iPads, which is good but I know other schools can’t afford it. So in cases like that, I would use what I had in the classroom or in the library. I think this works best because this allows all students to have an equal level with their peers because some children may already have a computer at home, while others can only use them at school.
Most kids want to transport their phones to school. A common thing kids say is “ The teacher allows it though. ’’ Students and some teachers don’t know that cell phones in the classroom is unsatisfactory. Phones should be allowed for use during school Cell phones aren 't only used for being on social media and distracting kids, nowadays, there are many other benefits when it comes to use of electronics. Cell phones should be allowed in school not only because a study shows it makes students happy, according to a study conducted in 2005, Sonja Lyubomirsky, Laura King, and Ed Diener found that happiness causes success, but also as an aid, in case of an emergency, and for easier communication skills. To start off with, phones can be used as an aid. Whether that is learning or memory aid.
Could Phones in Class Be the Key to Learning Seeing a kid in class with their phone out, your first instinct will be telling them to put it away. Although cell phones can be a distraction and used for entertainment purposes they could be used for so much more. Phones should be allowed in classrooms to use as a learning tool, it will help students organize their work, and is cheaper than buying more technology. As you may know, schools are strict on their no phones in class rule.
"The iPad is much more lightweight than a book bag full of textbooks, notebooks, and binders. Students can cram all that into the iPad and easily take it with them anywhere" (17 Pros and Cons). This means students can do their work anywhere they please and all their work is on one device making it easier to find material or resources through the iPad. By having students do their work on the iPad, it allows the teacher to stay more organized and
(National School Safety, 1996 2015) Although, the discussion “if cellphone should be banned in the at a University level” continues to generate controversy, I highly believe that it should be banned as research has shown that it affects and disrupts the classroom educational environment as it promotes cheating, causes distractions to students and teachers, endorses cyberbullying, reduces classmate socialization, downgrades ones grammatical skills, spreads misinformation, leads to high risk of cell phone theft, contributes to the violation of privacy and overloads the emergency
Allowing cell phones in school is a danger to the education of students (Clark,A.,2006). Banning cell phones is in the best interest of everyone; it will help student’s grades. So, schools make rules to facilitate a quality education in a respectful and safe environment. Cell phones have definitely become fixtures in present-day life for most people. Phones
Cell Phones In Schools Despite the fact that cell phones may be used for educational purposes, phones should still be banned from schools due to texting and posting, cyberbullying, and a use for non - educational purposes. As a student, I am faced with the problem, “No Cell Phones in Classrooms”. Many students like to bring their cellphones in class. The one problem however is, “What are you doing with your phone?”
Do cell phones in class actually have such a huge impact on learning as educators say they do? Is it really relevant to ban cell phones at school? Do we really have to ban something which was already part of the school system? A simple answer to all of those questions is no. Although some schools don’t think cell phone usage should be allowed in a classroom.
