Middle school is a very different time, a time to start discovering yourself. Many people figure out what makes them truly happy, or what they want to do with their life during this time. It’s also the road to high school, the last stop of your standard American education. As a middle school graduate, I’ve dealt with all the ups and downs, all the A+’s and the C-’s, all the old and new friends, and all the choosing of classes. Electives are the time to have something you enjoy in school, to pick what makes you happy, but also what will help you later.
Imagine being a parent with a thirteen year old son being charged as an adult with a life sentence without parole. Knowing that they will have no chance for rehabilitation. In some cases a lot of these individuals we are so quick to call adults once they take a life are, repenting for their sins towards the crimes they committed. When a teen commits a crime to this stance without a second thought or even with the thought in mind they are still not capable to understand the situation. To comprehend the fact that you took another life doesn’t really come to light till your mind is at a point where you see it as what it is death.
Playing with blocks, coloring, naps, and sidewalk chalk. All fond memories of life in pre-k. For most, preschool is a time of fun and games and making your first friends. There is a lot of evidence showing children should be sent to preschool but many aren 't getting the opportunity. Thankfully, there are many options. “Kids should be going to pre-k because it helps kids prepare for the social, academic, and emotional demands of Kindergarten.
Introduction If you were to be put in prison as a child, what would you think it would be for? Many children are put in prison each year getting bad education, being taught to deal with problems by fighting, and are grown around other bad people. Kids in prison are surrounded by barriers, the real ones of course with the barbed wire and electric fences, but also the ones where they are grown around fighting, bad education, and the fear of being let out of prison. Kids should be in prison if they have done something to deserve it, and our government shouldn’t be funding this, the child’s family should be paying for their food, education, etc.
Parents are concerned about their children, especially when they're out with some friends. Here's how you can track your child's location and the iPhone. Know where your child can put your mind at ease and make sure that they are not hanging out with the wrong people. They will tell you where they are, but it's a restaurant with friends, or even just a friend, and will let you know if they are hanging in a sketchy part of town or go to a house is not particularly fond of.
Sitting in class looking everywhere and hearing everything, but you sit there wondering, “What’s wrong with me?” All the other children are sitting still looking straight. The feeling of being abnormal because being different is wrong. No parent wants this for their child, logically the parents think it’s the right decision to medicate their child. Children should not be allowed to take prescribed medications due to how it impacts their mental state, body, and relationships with others.
Have you ever thought about why your kid is getting horrible grades? It is because your kid does not have enough study time because they are focused on the written homework. By giving too much written homework kids might not have the energy to study. With all the activities that kids participate in they might not have the time because by the time they get home from the activity it will be time to eat dinner and then they will go to bed. Besides kids should be learning not getting stressed.
Should kids have a voice? This is a question that people all over the world with different beliefs ask themselves constantly, whether it’s for kids to be allowed to have a voice when it comes to their educational system or letting them say their opinion on medical decisions for them. Traditionally, it is seen as irresponsible to let your kids select what they consider is best for themselves, but what if just for once, we gave them a chance to speak up. Have either your mom or your dad ever told you something along the lines of, “I’m the parent so therefore everything I say is correct?” Well, when they state something like this, they are clearly giving a disjunctive argument.
“No Homework For Students” Imagine being able to go home and not have to worry about doing homework or a big project to present. There wouldn’t be any stress about school. Instead, you get to lay down and watch your favorite show. Then you could go to the park with your friends and play games, or do anything that interests you.
“Our review revealed that there is little resesarch to support the effectivness of compulsory attendance laws in acheving these goals (of lowering the droupout rate)” (Schargel). Each day more and more students drop out of high school and there is no reasonable explanation to dropout of high school. Most students drop out because their parents don’t care or the student finds school boring. Other reasons that students want to drop out is because they need to help there family financially or other peronal reasons. What we need to do is get students more focused on school and help them realize how important their education really is.
An average student would spend hours on schoolwork a day, which can be very stressful. A high school student will use half of their day around school relation. Almost all elementary to high school students will likely to agree that homework should not be assigned. The majority of students complain about homework yet teachers don’t usually understand why. While homework gives benefits to students, unnecessary homework should not be assigned due to the fact that there are enough school hours, it consumes time, and the development of poor health is encouraged.
Recently the school board has been congregating and they are deciding on whether or not to extend school an hour and a half. Faculty, Staff, and students already get 7 and half hours of school with a 20 min lunch break, employees and employees at jobs have an 8 hour day with an hour lunch break, I think we all can agree that if the school board extends school then no one will be happy. I believe school should not be extended an hour and a half because your brain will have no time to rest, you may have less time to spend with families or friends, and you may have no time for after school clubs or activities. To begin with the brain is an organ in your body that helps you work through your day and the process of decision making, without it you would not have a life full of happiness and adventure.
Kids don't have to worry about missing a meeting or worry about paying for gas. Transportation is easy for kids. Kids don't have to worry about gas or getting in a wreck. They just walk outside and walk to their friend's house or get on a bike and go ride around the neighborhood with their friends. Kids have so much energy they can run to their friend's house or talk there.
Everyone goes to school, everyone has homework. Homework has been a topic of interest for a very long time. Many students think that homework is not beneficial. However, without homework people wouldn’t remember what they learned in class. Homework gives kids the chance to prove what they have learned.
The environment becomes very important to a child as those experiences will reflect as they get
