When kids are rushed into the work force it only puts the farther behind because they haven't had time to grow up. Every child is different and develops at their own rate. Having a program that forces kids to develop faster than they need to discourages them and gives the the feeling of they just aren't good enough. Most kids don't know exactly what they want to do so if they aren't given the amount of time needed to make a decision they could easily end up in a profession where their potential isn't reached.
