To Kill a Mockingbird should definitely be kept in school curriculum, many people say that it makes them uncomfortable and if this is the case they are the exact people who need to read it (Schuab, 2017). This book not only teaches students racial issues but also feminine and masculine roles during that time period, (Shmoop Editorial Team, 2008). Students and teachers were complaining about the language presented in the book and how it was overall inappropriate for students to be reading. “There is some language in the book that makes people uncomfortable, and we can teach the same lesson with other books” states a teacher from Biloxi, Miss., school district (Schuab, 2017). Teachers may be able to teach the same lesson with other books, but
