When i was young my parents always told me treat others how i want to be treated because if i treat them bad they have every right to treat me bad. This was a lesson i never completely understood until jr high when i had to read; To kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. To kill a Mockingbird is about a young girl named scout and the summer her father atticus took tom robbins case a man accused of rape. Throughout the book atticus tries to teach jem (scout's brother) and scout valuable lessons. But the question is should To kill a Mockingbird still be taught in schools? To begin, i believe this book should be taught in school because it holds a lot of great life lessons like: Don't judge someone until you have walked in there shoes, don't judge
