The case, which we will be analyzing through 2 theories of development, is the case of a girl named Ashlee Martinson. She was teenage girl who used to writing blogs and poems related to torturing and killing people. On March 7, 2015 Ashlee Martinson’s parents were found dead at their home. On March 7, 2015 itself, Martinson had a fight with her parents because of which she left the home but was brought back by her father. She was to kill herself when her father tried to stop her and instead of killing herself she deliberately killed her father. After that she went to her mother to seek some comfort but instead she got a yelling from her because of which Martinson stabbed her mother too. This is the case, which I will be analyzing through 2 theories of development namely: 1. Sigmund Freud’s Psychosexual Theory of Development 2.
