Among the key contributions from different ethnic Canadians was Bukum Singh and the Sikh’s. In the early 1900’s there were very few Sikh’s living in Ontario, but still 9 Sikh’s actively served with the Canadian troops in WWI. Among those 9 was Bukum Singh, one of the earliest known Sikh’s living in Ontario. Singh came to Canada in 1907 from Punjab. He first arrived in B.C at the age of 14, he was mining until he moved to Toronto in 1912/1913.
Kublai Khan realized something about most of the religions in the area. This is proven by the document Mongke Khan on God, which states, (as Kubai Khan stated) “But just as God gave different fingers to the hand so has He given different ways to men.” This means that there are several parts of the God, each of which were given to a different culture. Many religions are similar, with one God, such as Christianity and Muslim, they just interpret the God differently.
The Ottoman and Mughal empires both used Islam in their culture, economy, wars, and society. It influenced their art, the way they treated non-Muslims, their motivations for war. It is important to note that both empires were influenced differently by their majority religion. However, both the Ottomans and Mughals were heavily influenced as Islam was a major part of everyday life from the art to the bureaucracy.
They both established themselves as a Islamic Empire. They both were quite religiously tolerant and had different religions in their empires. In the Mughal Empire many people practiced Hinduism and made up a large part of the population. In the beginning The Mughal Empire with Akbar as its ruler had constructed a special House of Worship in which many discussions were carried out between many religions including Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, and Zoroastrianism. Although later with Aurangzeb as its ruler, it had taken some measures to restrict some Hindu holidays.
Religions have greatly shaped their followers' lives by their origin stories, societal teachings, and tone in their writings. A Blend Religion Sikhism is monotheistic religion that is blends of Islam and Hinduism; Guru Nanak founded this religion in fifteen century. Sikhism has clear thought about remembering god all the time, equality between human kinds. Because Sikhism is a mixture religion, it has many similarities with Hinduism and Islam, and also it has many differences with them. Sikhism has bunch of similarities with Islam because it has influenced by Islamic rules. First, both believe in monotheistic god, which mean believe in one god.
They both use similar texts as the foundation of their religion and share prophets. However, like some of the obvious differences in these religions; such as the different distinct gender roles in both establishments, there are also unmistakable
Hinduism and Buddhism are two of the most known religions. The two religions Have common beliefs but have good differences. A person might ask what the similarities and differences are between Hinduism and Buddhism. They have many similarities and differences. They are similar and different at the same time.
Formed in the fifteenth century, Sikhism is a one deity religion that shares some similarities, but differs greatly from other monotheistic religions. Followers receive instruction through a written scripture created by the original ten guru's, as well as from Gurus, ones who give followers instruction from God. The God of Sikhism, just as he is in Christianity, is recognized as a singular being, is believed to be the creator of the universe. He does not take any other forms, and is not believed to have ever been birthed in the form of a human being. Sikhs also adamantly deny the existence of any other multiple gods or deities from other religions.
The cultural traditions of the two religions are also quite similar. Both religions require modest dress and place a large emphasis on the importance of family. They also have specific dietary laws. For example, Hindus place a high respect on the cow and do not eat beef and in the Jewish faith the Kashrut dictates (among other things) that they Jews are forbidden to consume pork. In fact, many of the ideals are nearly identical. The expectations, ways in which one achieves salvation and how individuals present their faith, seemingly mirror each other. The similarities greatly exceed the differences in the Islam and Christianity religions. The Islamic religion proclaims, “anyone who believes in God and the Last Day, and performs good deeds, will have nothing to fear or regret” (145).
Catholic Christianity and Muslims are both investigating the understanding of the mystery of God. Although the two religions may have a slight understanding of God, they both express their understanding of God differently. Firstly, Catholic Christians holy book is the Bible that consists of the Old and New Testaments. The bible is not only a book but also contains stories, poetry, song, history and letters. The bible is God’s actions in the world and his resolution with all creation.
In comparison, Buddhism and Sikhism are religions that originated from Hinduism. The differences lie because Sikhism is monotheistic (single God) and Buddhism believes there is no God. Other differences lie in the teachings, practices, idol worshipping, religious laws, symbols and concept of God. Buddhism - Buddhism is the old religion around 624 B.C. - Buddhism talks about self-organization, they do not believe in the Creator. - Buddhism is a monastic community called as the Sangha.
o 1.0 Introduction As everybody knows that religion has importance in everybody lives as religion defines their personality. Two religions, Buddhism and Hinduism are almost similar to each other. They have many similarities and differences also. This report consists of similarities and differences between this two religions.
Christianity and Islam share many similarities with a few fundamental differences. Both religions follow monotheism, though in Islam it is much stricter. Jesus and Gabriel are focal points for Christianity and Islam respectively. God and Allah stand for the same higher power and basis for religion. In Islam, the five pillars are the main difference just as Mary is the mother of Jesus and the beginning of the Christian religions teachings.
