Mary arrived in Utah on November 1, 1869. She wore a hat that matched her flowing gown. Her looks were so charming and this was so embellished in her 22 year old frame. Her meeting with Thomas J. Smith was without fanfare but she noticed the passion the man had for his Horse. He did not need to tell Mary before she said “This must be Silver Heels”.
