People choose to read fiction for many different reasons. Everyone enjoys the different parts fiction novels have to offer. Some like the parts where the characters finally change while others hate that part. The best thing about fiction is being excited about the characters. It is almost as if you're a part of the novel and are going through it with them. Most people are surprised when they find a character that they relate to. Throughout this semester we read a few wonderful fiction books and drama writes. Of the pieces of literature we have studied this semester I relate most to is juror number two from Twelve Angry Men, Daisy from The Great Gatsby, and Gatsby from The Great Gatsby. Daisy fell for Tom even though she was still in love with Gatsby. When Tom, Daisy, Gatsby, Nick, and Jordan all went to get drinks. Gatsby tells Tom that Daisy never loved him. That forces Daisy to admit that she loved both of them. Near the end of the book in chapter seven, Daisy finally admits that she is in love with both men. “ I love you now- isn’t that enough? I can’t help what's past. She began to sob helplessly. I did love him once- but I loved you too.” Daisy loves both men but she doesn’t know who she is happier and better with. With Tom, she has a family and a beautiful little girl which she doesn’t want to ruin. With Gatsby, she just has nice expensive things and a luxurious lifestyle. Both men are lying to her but she doesn’t know who to pick. Daisy went through a tough situation where she fell for one guy then he left so she distracted her feelings with another guy. That worked well until Gatsby came back into her life. It happened to me too but in a little bit different way. I fell in love with a boy named Landon. He was the greatest thing that had ever happened to me. I know I am young and too young to fall in love but what I felt for him was one hundred percent without a doubt love. Now Gatsby didn’t choose to leave Daisy; he had to. Landon …show more content…

Gatsby is so in love with Daisy that he is willing to do literally anything for her. He does everything in his power to prove to Daisy that he is still madly in love with her and would do anything and everything for her. In the middle of the novel in chapter four, Jordan tells Nick about why Gatsby bought his house. “Gatsby bought that house so that Daisy would be just across the bay.” Gatsby is so madly in love with Daisy that he will literally do anything for her even if he has to do illegal things to get the money. Gatsby wants Daisy for Daisy, but Daisy wants Gatsby for his wealth and his charming looks. Gatsby will do anything for Daisy to want him though. Gatsby and I are pretty similar. Gatsby fell in love with Daisy and wants to give her the world. I am like that with the first guy I ever fell in love with. I am willing to do anything for him. Even if we never were to speak again and he for some reason needed me I would be there. He doesn’t live in the same city as me so it is hard to see him but I would give him the world and more if I could. Even if he doesn’t have feelings for me or doesn’t even care about me I would still try so hard to make sure he is happy. In my eyes as long as he is happy then I am happy. He means so much to me just like Daisy meant so much to Gatsby. In all honesty, I would do whatever it took to be with him even if it was wrong. I care about that boy so much and only want
