The book Brave New World shows a world that has no individuality. Aldous Huxley decided to create a world where there was nothing but equality and everything was shared. this equality was made as a thought after the expansion of communism out of Russia. he used multiple facets of society to hinder individualism in society in the story. He began his story with a tour of the Department of Hatchery and Conditioning. today's society has many new similarities to the society of Brave New World. the government and corporations such as universities censoring the speaking of the students and the citizens of the country. these protests that we have in our modern society are stopping others from speaking their mind. they tried to go back into the past and fix all the mistakes. By doing so we are beginning to spiral into a society that is led by emotion, drugs, sex, and technology. This is causing us to lose our moral compass, we are forgetting who we really are as Human beings. We are beginning to be controlled by the thoughts and opinions of the masses while we neglect our own opinions thinking them to be bad. this is because whenever someone speaks out with a different point of view then they are shunned and thought of as closed minded or ignorant. We are losing our humanity through the technology. many people today choose to believe the words of people outside they're sphere of life, such as in apps like Tinder, ask.fm, and Yik Yak. through these apps we ask for advice trusting random strangers more than the ones who care about us. we lose our ability to have face to face interactions relying solely on our technology. through this we can feel no shame about what we do to others because we all become just a cog in the machine grinding away. We see a tendency now a days to rely more on the government. there is a growing feeling of entitlement that expects the government to solve our problems. we see a diminishing value of the role that family plays. We rely on schools to teach our kids the life lessons that should be taught at home. For this to work we have to all fall in line with the same
