Muslim beliefs about right and wrong
Islam and Christianity share a lot of similar ideas, however, in many ways they contradict each other too. Muslims (the name given to the people who practise Islam) belive in a book called the Quran. They belive that God had verbaly reveald it to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel. Over a period of aproximatly 23 years Muhhamad had finished the book. The Quran displays a guidance on how to act in specific situiations and teaches life lessons, similarily the BIble does the same expressing views on how we should live our daily lives and what actions to take in certain situations. The bible says that in the very begining of the human race God created man in his own image, "In the image of God He created him" and so the male and female were created. He then said "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it", in other words this means that God created Man and Woman equal to each other. The woman was not created inferior to the man nor the man to the woman. In the Quran it says that a man is worth two women - "The male shall have the equal value of the portion of two females". IN islam sexism is mathematically established. This is because they belive the woman brought initial sin into the world thus making the man inferior to her becuase she broke the basic relationship and distorted the divine order in many ways. As Eve ate the apple from the tree first she let sin enter her first and beconed the Adam to have it after. This created an image of women being sly and cunning beings not truthful to their word. However, in other verses of the quran it says that woman and man should be equal. "Their lord responded to them, I never fail to reward anyworker among you for any work you do, be you male or female - you are equal to one another. " This complicates things a lot as the quran contradicts itself.
