In the dystopian society of FAHRENHEIT 451, first responders are both similar and different from modern American society. Let's take the example of medical care when it’s an emergency. In the world of 451, they call an ambulance a ‘unit’ and ‘handyman’ is the name they call for paramedic. In the world of 451, handymen are careless and they don’t have any concern on patient . They smoke in front of patients and they use inappropriate language.
When the U.S first formed its government away from Britain, they tried to make their society as perfect as possible. As the years go on many changes occur in societies all around the world. There are many differences and similarities between Modern American Society and dystopian societies, such as fire departments in Fahrenheit 451, in the film 2081 government is extremely different than todays, and in the novel, Fever Code by James Dashner the freedoms of citizens have changed a lot. In the novel Fahrenheit 451 and Modern American society, Fire departments are both similar and different.
What would you do if there was another world that burned homes instead of put them out? Society today is used to keeping the community a safe place instead of putting the society in danger. This society strives for balance and fair living. Fahrenheit 451 contrasts to modern society in areas of Government, Firemen, and Books.
FWOOSH that is the sound of a flamethrower and guess what it just burned, all the books you own and you are know a fugitive of the law, what a great way to spend the rest of your life. Today I’m going to be talking about the similarities to our society and the society of Fahrenheit 451 and they are more alike than you would think. For example their world deals with the problem of people burning books and houses we did the same thing. This means that we are just like them in the fact that we have burned books and even people on occasion. We also have some advanced technology just like theirs.
In the book Fahrenheit 451, Montag’s society, attempting to be utopian, bans the use of books, and owning books. If someone is caught with them, their house and the books in them are burned to ashes. For some, this may seem like a good idea, but it causes many problems. People begin to turn all their attention to technology as they no longer have a source of entertainment. They’re so focused on their TV show or radio station that they begin to not care for others to the point that even death means nothing to them.
(AGG) In the course of Fahrenheit 451, we can clearly see that the society Montag is living in very faulty. (BS-1) Montag believes that his own society is working fine. However this is because he is unaware of critical things in a human society.(BS-2)
The 1950s was a period of constant innovation. This led to more play rather than work environments. While some saw this as the beginning of something great, Ray Bradbury thought we needed to be cautious of this new lifestyle. Bradbury wrote this book for us to realize that these inventions, such as the television, could lead to a despotic and censored society that has limits knowledge and promotes a lazy, violent, and empty society. Guy Montag’s life is changed forever when he meets a girl named Clarisse.

Montag works as a fireman, and he has a wife named Mildred. However, in this dystopian society, firemen are different. Instead of being tasked with putting out fires, they are tasked with starting fires to burn books.
Fahrenheit 451 is a spectacular dystopian novel written by Ray Bradbury. The book follows Guy Montag, a fireman, in a world where books are forbidden. However, after meeting his free-spirited new neighbor, Clarisse McClellan, he begins to see things in a different light. Later on, while burning a woman’s house to the ground with her inside, his self-control fractures when he steals, and reads, one of her books. This drives him to seek out an old acquaintance, Professor Faber, who encourages him to try and subtly push the others towards the truth.
The differences between our society and the society in the dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451 are numerous, but Bradbury said it quite well when he said, “'I don't talk things, sir, ’I talk the meaning of things. I sit here and know I'm alive'” (Bradbury 71). The society in the novel Fahrenheit 451 is different as their society has outright denied the human brains the books it craves to read. There are several other differences between our societies the road laws are drastically different, the fireman are polar opposites, and the war is different.
There are many similarities through the book setting and today 's society. One similarity that Fahrenheit 451 has with today’s society is that the majority of the population has been restricted access and censored from important information. Throughout Fahrenheit 451, there was the burning of books so this knowledge would not be passed on to future generations. In today’s society, there are so many instances where the full truth is left out when the story is conveyed to the public. This is accomplished through channels of mass media, such as television, radio & social media.

The differences and similarities between the book’s society and our modern day society really bulged out at me while I was reading the book ‘Fahrenheit 451’. In Fahrenheit 451, books are banned. And instead of having firemen that put out fire, the firemen start the fire to burn down books and houses. There are many differences and similarities between our modern day society and the the society in the book ‘Fahrenheit 451’. Such as our Government, Technology, and Behavior.
To conclude, the novel Fahrenheit 451 and our present day society have lots of similarities and differences. Both societies contain censorship, and value a faster pace life. On the other hand, present day America is much more relaxed on the idea of individuality. Thus, our present day society, and the society that Fahrenheit 451 takes place in include many significant similarities and
