In the story Mice and Men it took place in California on their plantation during the Great Depression. George which was an intelligent but uneducated man and Lennie which was a little slow are in Soledad on their way to find new jobs in California. They want to settle down on a farm and have dreams of settling down on their own piece of land. Lennie's part of the dream is to tend rabbits because he loves touching soft animals. although he always kills them. There dreams cannot come true because Lennie is always messing up there chances by getting them kicked out. They had fled from Weed, after Lennie touched a young woman's dress and wouldn't let go, leading to them getting chased by guards. It soon becomes clear that it is gonna take them a while to get there dreams right despite his antics.
