Lightning Thief novel and film are fantasy and Greek mythology. Because Percy Jackson went on a quest to prevent a war against the gods Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. The novel and the film has many similarities, but there are so many differences that set the two apart. There are many similarities between the novel ''Lightning Thief '' and the film.
In the book, The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson shows great acts of perseverance. A coincidence is that Percy is short for the Greek hero Perseus. In the legend of Perseus to Percy Jackson Lightning Thief rendered new characters. First, Perseus had no allies, Percy Jackson had a few- Grover, Annabeth. Also, in the legend of Perseus Zeus was his father, but in Percy Jackson's case Poseidon was his father. Next, in Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief the writers brought in other characters from different greek mythology like the lotus eaters, and Hades which was new as well and made it more interesting. Aa well speaking of Hades they added every god with their children, which are demi gods.

The brothers, Josh and Jordan Bell play on the same basketball team and they are the best on their team and are always working together. One day they experience a conflict that interferes with their relationship and basketball. Jordan Bell’s actions affect his brother Josh and their relationship negatively, because Jordan dates a girl he and his brother are both in love with.
Percy Jackson is more of a hero when compared to Odysseus. A hero must be helpful, selfless, and forgiving to others. Percy is a character from the movie “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters'' and is a helpful, selfless, and forgiving character. Odysseus, on the other hand, is from a story called “The Odyssey” and is less helpful to others, selfish, and unforgiving. With these traits, Percy is more of a hero than Odysseus.
