Everyone has made a decision that maybe wasn’t the best decision or possibly was just a good decision for themselves. In the myth “Pandora’s Box” retold by Louis Untermeyer, the universal message is that it’s important to examine the potential consequences to make the best decisions. Untermeyer says, “It was a scheme which would affect not only Epimetheus but also the whole race of human beings whom Prometheus had dared to help and who were living happily and untroubled” (Untermeyer 1). The evidence reveals that Zeus is making a plan to ruin the family of Prometheus for the reason of what Prometheus had done to Zeus. They go as food for the Minotaur” (1). This quote explains the action of the king sending out 14 people each year instead of dealing with the monster himself. It also shows, how the king is just playing the Minotaur game of letting him eat 14 people every year. The king should fight back, but he is too anxious about his reputation as king that he shouldn’t take risks. But as king, you should take the most risks. E2BN.org wrote, “In an instant, his world turned upside-down, quite literally. He was picked up between the Minotaur’s horns and tossed high into the air. When he landed on the hard cold stone, he felt the animal’s huge hooves come down on his chest. Every last breath seemed to be knocked out of him and he struggled to stay alive in the darkness” (3). This quote indicates the actions of Theseus after attempting to
