In the superhero world, it can be hard trying to live a normal life. In Mister Miracle, Big Barda is someone who feels like she was needed by her husband but does not know how to express herself toward her husband. In The Vision, Virginia felt like she was being used by her husband and even though she is a robot she shows a lot of her feelings through breakdowns. They are also both mothers but they are different in the way they care for their children. These two characters both come from the superhero world and have similarities and differences. This is why Virginia feels that her husband doesnt give her much attention because Vision is still caught up with Wanda. On the other hand, Barda is in a similar situation with Scott. Barda is so focused on trying to help Scott from his depression that Scott does not do the same for her. In Mister Miracle, we do not see much of Barda and Scott having a conversation about her and how she feels. Although they share this they feel differently about how their husbands treat them. Virginia feels like she is being used by her husband. Relating it back to Wanda and Virginia, Vision tells both of them the same joke. In issue 7 Vision says “Two toasters are sitting on a counter. One toaster turns to the other toaster and asks “ Do you feel empty sometimes”. Then the other toaster says” Oh my god a talking toaster””. Wanda bursts out laughing at his joke but when he tells Virginia she stays quiet and there is an awkward tension between them. Barada is someone who is seen as strong and mighty but she is actually having a hard time being able to express her emotion toward Scott at the beginning of the comic. She mostly doesn’t want Scott to use her as an escape and way out of his depressive state. In the end, when Barda realizes that she has to make a choice in either to give up her son or save the world she talks with Scott about her feelings. Barda tells Scott “When do I get to escape, Scott”. “ You're dying to get away from me. And I should run from you. For that. And instead, I have to all I can do is take care of you”. She is telling him that not everything is about him and he isn't the star of the show and he doesn't let her express her emotions. Throughout the comic, we still don't know much about her. Virginia is the opposite, at the beginning of the comic she shares a lot of her opinions with Vision and seems comfortable around him. Even though Virginia is a robot made to not understand human emotions. She does develop it throughout the issues. When she is at the dinner table with Vin and Viv she finds out that vision was taken for being a suspect, she reacts out of anger and breaks their dining table. She yells “ Everything is normal” when in reality it is not. After Virginia kills the Grim Reaper this is when she starts to have a breakdown and develop new emotions.
