In Lord Of The Flies a book by William Golding, he introduces the audience about the character Simon being nice and his positivity to helping others. Initially, the author uses the characters and setting as symbols to help create a theme. It stated “Simon found for them the fruit they could not reach, pulled off the choicest from up in the foliage, passed them back down to the endless, out stretched hands” (Golding 56).
