All humans have a thought process. Trying to understand how a person thinks can be quite problematic. Skepticism is a branch within critical thinking, which creates a community of unique thinkers. Being a skeptical person can be a curse or a blessing; it just depends on the situation. A skeptical person is one that asks questions if they feel like what they are being told is invalid. For example, one person might say that aliens are real. Well another person may be very skeptical about that theory. It can’t easily be proved which makes it difficult to develop a conclusion. Skeptics dig deep into a problem or information and finds a solution through close details. People with this mindset needs evidence; they usually doubt validity rather than accept it. Skeptics do question the premise before anything. They have a more passive trait, and use experience and observation to create the conclusion. Critical thinkers seem like they meet the same qualifications that skeptics do, because skepticism is within the critical thinking category. A critical thinker may actually gather facts and evidence, while a skeptic person has a difficult time finding evidence for the case. Skepticism is mostly based on theory and ideas that may be unknown or unproven. They do say two mind are better than one, so if a critical thinker works with someone that is also skeptic then it may be easier to create a conclusion. Sometimes, people’s opinions may collide, and a disagreement will eventually be present. These two thinking methods are complementary which makes it difficult to say which one is more beneficial than the other, but I can see them both being great ways of thinking. A critical thinker gathers what they already know and connect it to their theories or ideas. This can help them make a decision a lot quicker and more
