Slavery started by white European in in the early 1600 has been an issue that has haunted our history and is still evident in present day society. It distinguished the prejudices developed between races and put forth a basic definition of racism. Slavery has affected our world in numerous ways, including the development of North America, which today is one of the most powerful nations. The early European colonies and rich whites needed cheap labour at the time to develop their country and land so they went and extracted the Africans and later brought in anyone who can give easy labour with little cash . And the even more corrupt thing was that the government who was suppose to be filled with honest, intelligent people were all corrupt even creating the indiscriminate slave code that restricted the slaves so much even just talking back to them can get them killed. It wasn’t like the blame only goes to the government you also have to think of how the masters put the rules into play. Slaves used simple tactics such as working as slow as possible, stealing the supplies,destroying property basically anything they could do to foil their owners earnings. Some would just runaway using the underground railroads if they are not satisfied with their “nice masters.” These acts of resistance was not simply done by the blacks themselves but also help by other free slaves and other whites. But things didn't change at all they were still importing slaves illegally,abusing their rights as owners and still earning off of slaves will they are lazing around.
