Soccer The sport of soccer has a history dating back three thousand years to the Asian countries of China and Japan. It was also played in the Olympic games of Greece and Rome. Today, soccer is the most popular sport in the world; it is played in just about every single country on earth.Of the eleven players on a team, one player must be designated as the goalkeeper and this player can touch the ball with their hands when inside the goalies' box. Other positions include Offense Defense and Midfield . Offenses main goal is to attack and score. Defenses job is to defend the goal from the other team and not allow the other team to score. A body position is how a person carries their body. There are different positions for each situation in soccer, such as when you are carrying the ball you keep your body down in a low stance. You can come in contact with the ball when you kick, chest, or head the ball. To come in contact with the ball means to touch the ball with a part on the body. Once you come in contact with a ball you can then release the ball. The ball is released in soccer when it is passed, let go during a throw in, or, punted. A soccer player must know how to balance while kicking a ball so they do not fall over or kick the ball off the ground. They must also balance while running. A soccer player rotates their body when they change directions, also their legs rotate when they kick the ball. In soccer angles are created by players moving when they do not have the ball to become open for a pass. when players move for the ball they create angles which make getting the ball easier. Soccer players have to be knowledgeable about force because they use different amounts of force at different times. the different amount of force the soccer players use determine how far and fast the ball will go. In soccer players adjust their speed to get the ball faster and beat the other team to it. Mass play a role in soccer because it can slow you down or speed you up during the game. Inertia is the tendency of an object to keep doing what it is doing. The ball in soccer
