According to many people they believe social media about the homeless has had a positive impact on the interpersonal communication. Since housing is not affordable for the homeless there should be more shelters provided for them. Poverty is simple not an acceptable life style for anyone. For instance, the homeless population is one of the subgroup of vulnerable populations that facing tremendous economic and health conditions. It is estimated 564,708 people are homeless in the United States, and many of these homeless are youth under 18 years of age (Housing and Urban Development, 2016). Because of their leaving condition and precarious behavior of some homeless individual, they are at risk for poor health status. They are more susceptible to various diseases like skin infection, pneumonia, influenza, tuberculosis, hepatitis, and HIV.
One of the foremost social issues in the United States has been homelessness. Homelessness often overlap between poverty and unemployment. Annually, an estimate of 2.3 and 3.5 million individuals experienced homelessness. “Although, difficult to measurement, it appears that more people- especially families- are becoming homeless, sleeping in shelter, living in their cars, and taking up residence in tent communities” (). The elderly homeless population in the United States have services in place. As mention previously, this population are at a greater disadvantages from the norm because of their living condition and limit services. According to some studies previously done, there is a specific age group that is in more disadvantages of services because they do not meet the federal or state qualification guidelines for services. Helping homeless people is a thing that many people ignore because of the people that make a living off of being homeless. But how can we solve the homeless epidemic that 's going on. Before human developed social networking, people use the paper to write something to tell someone with mail. Nowadays, we are using social networking such as Facebook messenger and G-mail to talk someone quickly instead waiting mail for long time to receive. It makes our live simple, but it may seem harmful. There are some ways social networking may affect our mental health. Not only do social networks hurt us, but users use it in a way for emotional self-harm.
