People expect that social norms would regulate women’s behavior, and it would not intuitively occur to them that women are violent terrorists. Female terrorists, thus provide elements of surprise. I will pull data from published research papers to support my argument. Firstly, female terrorists cause less suspicion because they are not stereotypical terrorists. Female terrorists have psychological impacts on their targets. Those psychological impacts facilitate female terrorists to conduct suicide bombings. Secondly, there are comparatively loose security checks on female terrorists. They are less likely than men to be thoroughly searched because physical searches are considered as an honor invasion of the women in the places where the attacks
