For every part of your government, we know what needs to be done. The main part of the government is the constitution, which includes the laws and rules of the land. A constitution is extremely important for the start
The Government included of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches. The purpose of having these branches it so they could each check and balance each other. Also, to split powers evenly, we need three branches. Each branch is unique and helps the nation have a stable and firm Government system. The Executive branch is going to be made up of a President, Cabinet, and Vice president.
There are a variety of characteristics that a government that is best for humanity should include. To fulfill the necessities and standards of a community, basic human rights, protection of citizens, and a system of checks it's more than one leader is a must have. These parts of a government can create happier, more supportive, and loyal citizens. A key thing a government needs to be involved in is giving their citizens basic human rights.
For example, our government works every day to keep us safe from harm. Whether it’s the police, FBI, or military, we know that justice will be established for all accounts of terror, legal wrongdoing, or even house burglary. we know we can count on our country’s lawmaking and law enforcing to keep us out of substantial harm. Also, our government, whether it is city, state, or federal, provides us with the public necessities for becoming a thriving community and nation. With certain help like community recreational facilities, schools, airports, and parks, to even the little stuff like fire hydrants, light posts, and roads, our government funds these to better us as a whole.
The Government is the ultimate ruler of the people, sets the ultimate laws of the land and says what goes and when not pleased uses all the means in their power to influence. The basic functions of the United States government are listed in the Constitution. Due to the immense power of our federal government, people often argue that it is too powerful and should be lessened. Sub further the state governments use a sum of power to do the same. There has been an effort to shift power from the federal government to the states.
Shirley Jackson’s short story “The Lottery” and Suzanne Collins’ novel The Hunger Games share a similar plotline, but have extremely contradictory moods. “The Lottery” is a short story by author Shirley Jackson that has a easygoing, casual mood despite its horrific plot. The text tells of a small village that holds a yearly ritual known as “The Lottery” in which one person is chosen at random and stoned to death. However, Jackson’s choice of words makes the reader feel calm and at ease. In the story’s opening, the day is described as “...clear and sunny with the fresh warmth of a full-summer day; the flowers were blossoming profusely and the grass was richly green” (Jackson 1).
What is Government to me? Government to me is a group of people who control what goes on in our country starting with the six foundational principles and the three that I find most important are the Separation of Powers, Limited Government, and Federalism. Government according to the constitution and what is it today are similar in most ways. The way I see government is several groups of diverse people discussing the way we make laws, execute laws, and judge who interprets the laws. The U.S. government also has three branches, which are Legislative, Executive, and Judicial, which derive from the Separation of Powers.
The American government is a representative democracy with elected senators and representatives who execute laws to serve the best interest of the people. As FDR said, the ultimate purpose of government is to execute the people’s will. The fact is, however, that the duties of the government are a lot more specific than just serving the will of the people. There are dozens of different ways that politicians go about doing this: passing laws that will improve the general welfare of the population, reduce poverty, and increase safety.
Thomas Hobbes described that life in a state of nature would be “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.” In addition, no one would be able to survive in an Anarchy society where there is no order and the safeguard of others is at risk. Therefore, governments require for citizens to surrender some freedom to obtain the benefits of the government. Thus, the government has preserved its two major purposes: maintaining order and providing public goods to the public and an uprising purpose of promoting equality. The main and oldest purpose of government is to maintain order by establishing laws to preserve life and protect property.
Society has been struggling to find order ever since its conception. The idea that perfection could be achieved has long been dismissed, but societies still strive for something at least resembling functionality. Some of the fundamental problems faced within the genesis of a nation stem from the establishment of a government. How would one control and provide for the citizens in an effective way? Why would anyone willingly submit to governmental control?
Well, based off of what Thomas Jefferson said in 1801, a government is meant to protect its citizens from one another, protect their rights, and pursuit of happiness. Jefferson 's clearly outlines the purpose of the U.S. government because throughout his explanation, he states that the governments "shall restrain men from injuring one another" and if the
“Government is necessary to ensure the proper use of force... The purpose of government is to protect the individual rights of its citizens” (importanceofphilosophy.com). And, just exactly what are our individual rights? “The freedom to act, work, think and behave without retribution bestowed upon members of an organization through legal, regulatory and societal standards” (businessdictionary.com). In other words, the government was only created as a means to protect our individual rights and ensure that we aren’t judged and are free to do as we choose as long as we do not interfere with the individual rights of others.
I think the purpose of government is to make and enforce laws the main purpose of government is to protect it citizen. The purpose of government is to keep strict order and to stop is citizens from hurting one another. An effective system of government protection it citizens. The purpose of government is to ensure the safety of the nation and its resident. While other concerns such as economic growth are important, governments primary duty is keep people save.
In order to compare and contrast varying types of government within two or more countries, one must have a clear definition of Government and know the purposes it serves. Therefore, I did some research and I have established that Government is a group that exercises dominant power over a nation, state, society or other body of people. Governments are commonly responsible for constructing and implementing laws, handling money, and defending the general population from external threats, and may have other obligations or privileges. All over the world, there are many different types of government within countries. Each kind has its advantages as well as disadvantages regarding the general well-being of its peoples and economy.
In the present world governments have many jobs including: • Providing for the security of their country. • Keeping order. • Establishing a system of justice so that people are treated fairly. • Providing welfare services to those in need.
