The U.S Government has social welfare systems that supports lower class in need. From home providing programs like “Welfare” and “Section 8 housing” to food providing programs like “Food Stamps” and “WIC “( Women, Infants, and Children ). The U.S government economy has declined immensely over the years resulting in a high unemployment rate and very high market pricing. Therefor, theres a very large group of people who are struggling financially, in need of food or shelter, cant find a job, income cant support their kids, etc .. Also there is an additional group of people mainly immigrants who simply struggle to speak the language and can’t really find there place in this country. This is because the taxes there paying is what found the government to provide these programs. So since most Americans on social welfare programs live up to the stereotype of “abusing the system”, taxes payers disagree with the system and want to get rid of it. However, they do bring up a significant point on the flaws of the system because the governments spends large amounts of taxpayer money while producing results that are the opposite of what it is intended. According to “Statistic Brain research institution” the total government spending on welfare annually not including food stamps or unemployment is $131,900,000,000. The total annual cost of food stamp program $69,800,000,000. Now, these social welfare programs are not a total complete failure they indeed do play a significant role in todays economy. If you were to eliminate these programs a countries economy would suffer because what taxpayers don't take into consideration is that if you have these high unemployment rate and homeless people and not providing them with some sort of assistance, there is going to have less consumer, and if there is less consumer, companies wont be making enough money to provide jobs, and if there is no workers companies wont be producing. So eventually the unemployment rate will increase even higher and economy will drop immensely.
