I love softball. In softball to a achieve a great swing you need to be inside the batters box. Then, lift your bat to your ear level, you take a step with your front foot, swing the bat and pivot your back foot while you are swinging. As I sit on my bed deciding on what to write about, I glance over at my trophy case. Glittering with golden light, my trophies remind me of all the accomplishments I have been awarded during the short span of my life. My accomplishments are mostly involving either cheerleading or softball. I have been a part of both teams for six years now, counting middle school. On the softball team I can play any position except for pitcher.

Baseball is considered by many to be America’s favorite pastime. Softball in many aspects is similar to baseball but in reality it is harder to play. There isn’t a huge difference between softball and baseball other than a couple rules and the gender playing the sport. People who don’t go outside as much most likely suffer from illness. Some people can’t go outside because they have certain illnesses that won’t let them. Some people just chose not to go outside and that isn’t very healthy. Kids these days usually have an excuse such as playing video games or saying they have nothing to do outside.
Over the years I’ve gotten stronger, faster, and overall better at softball. Four years into it and I have some great and some painful stories. I’ve learned many things about softball, but one that has stuck out to me and that also applies to life is that it can be fun.
All you do is bat and ground the ball and through it to a person. You do have to run a lot. But compared to the rest of the rest of the sports baseball is the most laid back. I remember one game where I played third base and our team was so good no one got to third base so I just got to stand there and look pretty!
