1. Theoretically, the definition of complimenting an SFBT technique is a process where the therapist compliments the client on his/her problem-solving techniques with validation and encouragement consisting of a three-part phase of complimenting: indirect, direct, and self-compliments. To clarify, the first phase of indirect complimenting involves asking the client questions in comparison to the family and friends perspective or point of view. Second, a phase of direct complimenting is the therapist observes the actions of the client, which they deem is successful. 5. Scaling is used frequently with a client experiencing anxiety attacks and with other medical reactors. For example, utilizing the scaling question method in a therapeutic session, the questions start, ‘How does he/she handle their anxiety attack, when driving. Next, rate the attacks from 0 to 10, however, 10 being the highest and 0 the lowest when driving. Next, from 0 to 5 rate the pain management and dizziness level morning or night effects, 0 being the lowest and 5 the greatest.

The goal is to evaluate the client’s anxiety attack and the levels it matures to and the degree. In addition to, documenting the intervals as to when the episode 's take place, rating the pain level or level of dizziness when it occurs. Nevertheless, the scale provides important data for the therapist, to take notice of the client’s symptoms so that he/she can adequately diagnosis and determine their needs
