Solutions To Gun Control Essay

We discussed all of the issues that comes with the lack of gun control and that we need stricter gun control. There are two great solutions to this issue. We can either:
A) Make it a law that potential buyers go through a course
Or
B) Require that all potential buyers undergo a mental health analysis (once a year). These solutions will most likely help because both require individuals to be held accountable for their actions.
Option A makes the potential buyers go through a course to assess whether or not someone is responsible enough to own a firearm. The course will be taught in person by an instructor who is an expert on gun safety and guns. The person has to register for the course and pay a hundred and fifty dollars to take the course, which will be taught at a community college. Students will have to sign a form upon arriving there saying that they agree to uphold …show more content…

After they sign the form and pay the fee, the students will learn the material in a book about guns and gun safety taught by the instructor. The instructor will then teach them how to use a gun and then they will practice in a simulation test that is sort of like laser tag except with a play gun that does not have bullets in it yet. Gun range test is Simulation test to shoot people who are a threat to you versus leaving the innocent alone. A laser tag type of test but in a simulation form. The students will then learn to actually shoot a gun after they pass this test. They will then take a final test that is multiple choice that goes over the material to see if they remember a hundred percent of what they have learned. The test includes: How to handle a gun, where it should be stored, which situations it may be okay to use a gun, How to obtain a gun (process), and Gun laws. If these people do not know all of the material then they will not be permitted to pass the course yet. They will be
