In 1967 when USSR launched the satellite Sputnik into orbit the only satellite we had seen from earth was the moon. This single event change our thoughts of space and travel forever and suddenly the space race was on to see who could achieve space travel first and secure our National Security. The USSR was the first to send a man into space but with the promise of a young president we were the first to land on the moon. For the next few decades these two power nations would not only change space technology and our understanding of the universe but it would change the lives of everyone on the planet. The Apollo Missions changed everyday technology that would cause a dramatic shift in electronics and computer technology.
In 1961, Kennedy announced the goal of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to Earth by the end of the decade, which became known as the Apollo program. This was a response to the Soviet Union's successful launch of the first satellite and first human in space. Under Kennedy's leadership, NASA developed new technologies, like the Saturn V rocket and the lunar module, to achieve this goal. On July 20, 1969, the Apollo 11 mission successfully landed on the moon, fulfilling Kennedy's vision and marking a major milestone in the space race. Overall, Kennedy's involvement in the space race was a reflection of his commitment to scientific advancement and national security during the Cold War

The accident was that wires were exposed inside the oxygen tanks through manufacturing and testing errors before the launch. The problem that I identified in the start of the film is in the original team of three astronauts, one of them had either become ill or will become because he was exposed to the measles. Apollo missions took exploration to another level. Apollo 11 mission was the mission that allowed man to land on the moon. The motivation that led to the discovery was much related to the unsuccessful “N1” Rocket. NASA was also motivated politically, they wanted to beat Russia to the moon and prove that they could be successful. Questions asked were, could they be the first one to make it to the moon?
Space Exploration: Apollo missions Some of their motivations. They had curiosity about to go beyond of what they already know, touch the stars and inspire generations to pursue science and research as a way of life. Also, NASA team transformed what could be impossible in what was possible, among others. Some of the questions that they had in one of their missions were: How do we go to the Moon? How can finance this mission?
