Synopsis of the fiction:
Use autobiography method to tell the story. The lead character is the Anna, whose father is an astronaut many years ago. Her father Ken is very passionate about the space, so he went to a private organization and joined the Mars mission experimented by it. However, when they come back, all other astronauts get acute or chronicle diseases because of the radiation. Surprisingly Ken is fine but he is extremely sad about the death of his colleagues, and something miracle happened to him. He starts to feel enlightened, and become a super smart guy. He keeps writing theories and methods about reducing the radiations. At that time, no one believes in him, even Anna thinks he is crazy. While as he becomes smarter, his physical conditions get worse. It seems like the brain is consuming on his body. After Ken’s death, Anna picks up his business and finally after years, she makes an effective way to mitigate radiations based on the model her father developed.

This notion functions in the similar way as the Earth’s magnetic field. However, force fields require more researches on the structural and energy level to be feasible. In addition, to reduce the risk, adjusting operational system on Mars is also a possible way. A specific part of spacecraft can be designed as a small shelter to avoid radiation storm. We can also develop faster and more efficient exploration tools so that the time of spacewalk (the time exposed in space) can be reduced and thus the radiation. Also, astronauts can take medications to cancel out some effects led by exposure to radiation on biological level.
