This paper will talk about why children with dissabilites and who are put into speical educaiton for another reason are not being able to be challendged to their highest abiltiy of learnig. This will also talk about what they should learn about and what they face in special education than general education.

When parents are faced with a child who has a disability in class, some are not comfortable with kids who have special needs, in an environment with their children. Some might feel that they will make their own child feel like they aren’t smart enough or some might say that those kids will act in a odd way as to speak. They need to be taught the simple things like how to react to a situation or how to be funny at a gathering of some sort. Sometimes, it affects them in their feelings. According to Tracy Thompson, an author, “The emotional toll exacted on a child who is told that his repeated failures and his/her own fault can be high” (Thompson 2016 para. 5). She is saying that children who are being told that they can't succeed because of their dissabilites makes them less confident about their well-being in a school and being able to leave special education. This is a problem because so many students in special education want to get out and be able to learn in an environment that would be new to them. Also, student who try and achieve this goal must come to terms with some struggle getting to this. Alice-Ann Darrow, a music instructor, said, “Students w/disabilities often face numerous challenges as they progress through their school years” (Darrow 2014 para.1). Which is true, they will struggle in school as most student do if they have a disability or some other issue that they revolve around. With students who struggle, teachers need to spend more time with the student as an individual rather than a whole because the fact is that children who have disabilities and are focused on by teachers as a whole rather than a specific student is a bad idea because they sometimes learn differently or retain information in another
