“Obstacles do not block the path, they are the path.” One hardship that Matilda faced was losing grandfather. Since grandfather was Matilda’s only present family member, it was hard for Matilda to live without him. Matilda prevailed this hardship
If no one is willing to face the obstacles in life then they won't be able to enjoy it
No matter how someone may be living their life there will always be obstacles to face. Everyday someone may face an obstacle they come across by and figuring out how to overcome something. Wheather it is a work related obstacle or a school obstacle there are many possibilites and opportunities to over come these series obstacles. Malcolm X wasn't an ordinary inmate in a prison. From being in a prison he was trying to become an educated man.
Obstacles are something that every living specimen struggles with on a day to day basis. They are the mountains of sand one is forced to overcome whilst walking through the endless Sahara desert of life. Saying that these monumental hills affect one as a person is an understatement, they are more of a drastic transformation leading to the person that is yet to be formed. It’s as though humans have an outline for where they’re going in life, and factors along the way act as an eraser, forcing them to take out their pencil and draw something new. Sam Watkins is one of the many examples of someone merely trying to make it through the desert with never-ending hills.

Many people come across roadblocks through their journey of life. I know I've had my fair share of them. The biggest bump in my academic life was changing it completely upside down. Growing up african American or with any skin that holds the slightest of pigment is not easy, but that's obvious due to our nation's past. Racism and stereotypeing has always been there.
Obstacles can be challenging, and difficult, but people can overcome them by never giving up, always trying their best, and surrounding themselves with families and friends. Two stories that I have read that show adversity are “A Work in Progress” by Aimee Mullins which is about a little girl losing her leg. The other story I read is “So Far From the Bamboo Grove” by Yoko Kawashima Watkins about a little girl that has to leave her home because of war and has very big obstacles to overcome. Aimee Mullins and the Kawashimas both face obstacles that include losing family members, walking very far in intense weather, and people doubting you and trying to stop you. In the end they all make it through the the challenges mentally and physically.
After the obstacles he has overcame Walt Disney once said “All the adversity I’ve had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me… You may not realize when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.” Everyone has a time in there life where they need to get passed something that is in there way. When this time or times come everyone would find a way to get through it, whether it is asking for help or doing it on their own. When someone says the word adversity one would say you have to be hard working, determined, and strong would pop into their mind.
It may affect people in thinking that everything bad happens to them and life isn’t fair with them. On the other hand, I think that’s not correct. I think it helps them get more motivated to know that they can overcome any obstacle they want whenever they feel like it. Just how people say it may cause them to fear having those obstacles it also motivates them to get better and overcome them.
Easy to encounter, not so easy to overcome, failures claw at hopes and successes. They bring down those who are weak enough to let them in. They strengthen those that can get past them. I got past one that almost ruined my chances for new opportunities.
Though, obstacles are a constant part of our daily lives, overtime, we learn to cope with those obstacles. We discover how to jump every hurdle, or to simply walk around them. Granted, it seems that the biggest hurdles come when you try to achieve personal goals. Until you are an adult, there are rarely any decisions you make that are your own. There are usually constant factors that may influence you.
Michael Phelps, a professional swimmer, once said, “There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, there are no limits,” (¨AZ Quotes¨). This quotes shows that throughout one’s journey they will eventually have to go against many obstacles, and have to find a a way to get through them.
In fact, obstacles are a necessary impetus and a driving force in our lives to keep us motivated towards our ultimate goals. Overcoming these obstacles requires hard work, motivation and confidence. When overcoming obstacles we learn to work hard to achieve goals and push through challenges. Sometimes obstacles are punishments to help us find the right path and learn from our mistakes. A common example of this would be failing an exam, this is a small obstacle that can easily be overcome by figuring out our mistakes and fixing them.
Good morning/afternoon all. An influence is something that has had an effect on character or behaviour of someone. There have been many influences that have affected my life, though there are four main influences that have primarily affected my life in different ways. My main influences are my family, the environment, science, and technology. These have affected my past, present, and future.
In our life, there are periods of challenges that we must face, but the real challenge is how we grow and learn from overcoming them. Being naive children, we believed that life was simplistic and effortless. Well, we were wrong, we can only yearn for life to be easy. Growing up, we continue to face countless hurdles that only get bigger and bigger. My life, in particular, has been filled with numerous up and downs.
