Social Media. We usually think of it as Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, etc. Many find this as a good way to share special moments, or a way to share ideas or find them. At least one of you has a social media account, I know that. But the intriguing question to all of us is how much time do we spend on it? Do we spend our whole lives on it, or do we find it as a sideline? Is it our biggest fear or just a hobby? For this speech, I’m going to talk about the cons of social media. We usually get pressured to continue our fame spree. We always feel so sad when the slightest change in our like starts. You literally expose your own personal life to others. With these comments, there are also pictures. Your pictures have geotags in which people know where the picture was taken. If it was taken in your home, people know where you live. The people who want to hurt you now know where you live. To make things a little weirder, if you do so much on social media, you can be found on search engines like Google or Bing etc. Others may look deeper into you to find out more about you. Now all of you might ask, there are some pros to social media, why only state the cons? Well, here I am to backup my info. So here are some of the pros to share with you all. Pro: Social Networks get consumers faster. In fact, this is one of the fastest ways to get information than any other method. Con: Some of this fast information might not be the most reliable source though. Some info might not be true. This happened on Twitter when 64% of people that got news on this site later found out that it wasn’t true. Since information can also be spread out so fast, these false facts can also be sent to millions of other viewers. So you heard about some Trump new, huh? Maybe don’t go for it on the social
