These team doctors often work evenings and weekends because that is when many games and practices are held. Doctors who work at clinics and offices typically work five days a week, adding up to about fifty hours a week. This job is physically demanding. They are required to do a lot of standing, bending, and reaching and should be in good physical health. Sports doctors work hard to help people so that they can return to the lifestyle that they love. These doctors help athletes in many different ways. First, they teach athletes how to prevent injuries, by using proper stretches and warm ups.
