I am applying to the University of California-Irvine Law because of the unique opportunities the school provides for its students that I feel better prepare them to become successful lawyers after graduation. Of the various law school programs that I viewed, UCI really stood out to me because it was the only one that fused practical experience with a normal lecture setting for first-year students in the lawyering skills class. Actually interacting with real-life clients while still in a controlled environment is something I have never seen before and is a fantastic opportunity I would like to experience. I consider myself to be a fast learner and I look forward to undertaking a collaborative effort with my peers from all different backgrounds to thrive and advance our careers. While I am still unsure what field of law I would like to practice, I am interested in sports law and how it intersects with various other legal fields, and have taken a sports law class as an undergraduate. If admitted to UCI, I would like to create a Sports Law student organization in addition to the pre-existing Entertainment and Sports Law Student Association. Sports law has grown to become as equally massive as entertainment and both industries deserve equal attention. There are thousands of careers in sports but there is a hotbed of sports agencies, much like the entertainment industry, in California and especially the surrounding Los Angeles area. As such, creating this student organization would be beneficial for those interested in the field and could lead to potential career paths in addition to it being a passion of
