People not standing for the pledge has been an issue for several reason because we stand for the flag today, not to please ourselves but to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. When you stand for the pledge because when you say “I pledge allegiance to the flag” you are saying that I promise to be true to the symbol of our country. Standing for the pledge should be a stricter law because it’s unpatriotic,freedom,rude others may say it’s their first amendment lets take a look into the reasoning of this. It’s unpatriotic because it seems like you don’t love your country and you don’t care with the people who have fought for your life. “Freedom isn’t really free” many people have said this and it’s true you many not be fighting but other people are so you don’t. It shows that you care about what the people are doing over sea fighting so that you can be able to stand for it. Some people just wanna sit and not care what they think or how it makes them feel. When it says “one Nation under god” it makes people feel hurt because it makes them feel like they have to believe in god in order to say the pledge. Saying the pledge makes people feel like they are forced to believe and do something that they don’t feel is right and they don’t believe in. This is not true the flag is to show the freedom that people are fighting for, it has nothing to with believing you can believe in what you want, you don’t have to believe in order to stand for it. Standing for it means you care about the people who are fighting for your freedom, cause “freedom isn’t free” and that will always be true we will have to fight for it to make sure we always have
