Starting a winery has to a stressful, but rewarding venture. For doing something that you love can never be replace and people that make wine for a living feel that way. They have a freedom of their own Destiney and the feeling that they are making a difference and a way. They are making people well they fulfill their dream. These people are growing grapes from seeds and then they are harvesting them for many years until they are just right.
The grape varietal that I will go with would be a nice Chardonnay wine. There are two ways to harvest the grapes. You can do it by hand are you can do it by machine. For me I would use a little bit of both? I would start with a machine to help with harvesting the grapes and then I would go out with a group of people and hand pick the grapes. People probably would wonder why I would use both methods and the answer I would give them when you are starting out you don’t want to miss nothing and sometimes a machine can miss stuff. So going back over with your hands it makes sure you have pick every grape and left nothing out.
The procedures that you will use before the grapes reach the fermentation stage are adding yeast. This will help add the sugar and break up everything in the mixture. The style of fermentation that I will be going with would Secondary Fermentation.
