In 2007, I, along with a few of my peers, founded the Little Lemon Drop Jr. Guild as a way to give back to our community. Since then, this nonprofit organization has raised thousands of dollars that has gone to support uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Throughout my middle school and high school years, I have been very involved with this group. When I had the opportunity to choose a service placement for this year, I immediately knew I would be doing my service through the Little Lemon Drop Jr. Guild because of my previous involvement with the guild and my passion for the cause the guild supports.
When working with the Young Democrats of Westminster, I could tell they were excited to have us at the meeting to guide them in their mission and vision statement making process. They seemed very eager to get our input, and wanted us to feel just as involved as they are in the club. Eunice seemed especially excited about our project. He thought a mission and vision statement would help them lay out some groundwork for their growing campus organization, and let the student body know where they stand. I feel the Young Democrats will benefit from knowing what their prerogative is.
Over my short, seventeen-year lifetime, I have had passions in many areas, from geography to soccer to leadership. However, as I have grown older, I have had a growing passion for the schools in my area because they taught me everything that I know and have given me all the opportunities that I have taken advantage of. Because of this growing passion, I became involved in two very important organizations that influence the future of the Sartell – St. Stephen School District: the Community Schools Planning Initiative and the Sartell – St. Stephen Board Of Education. The Community Schools Planning Initiative was launched at the start of 2015 in order to come up with a vision for the future of the Sartell – St. Stephen School District and a plan to match that
The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.
As a student, I passionately feel that your college experience is what you make of it. I wanted to make my experience one consisting of philanthropy, scholarship, and leadership. I chose to undertake this role to honor all of who have touched my heart, as well as everyone who has battled cancer.
From Mr. steal yo’ crayons to a young 18 year old man. Truly thankful to have been able to maintain focus and strive closer to my goals each and every day. A major accomplishment that I have attained so far, would be competing and being selected to represent Oregon at various symposiums and conferences throughout my high school career. Thus far, I have been granted scholarships and have had the ability to travel to large cities and beautiful states such as Camarillo, California; Chicago, Illinois; Washington D.C.; and will soon be travelling to Atlanta, Georgia. From conducting scientific field studies around Channel Island University in California to strolling down the streets of D.C. using a blend of my Hispanic and American mindset to present

By volunteering at my local church and helping with local service projects, I have realized the commitment and perseverance it takes to lead by example. At my local church I continue to help with the organization of my youth group. After speaking at church staff meetings for several months we made it our goal to improve the youth group by ensuring that children and teens of all ages were included and had an opportunity to participate. I was able to create a system where teens who attended high school were paired with a middle school individual of the church. This provided a sense of inclusiveness and made the youth group more enjoyable for everyone.
I've always seen myself as a leader So,I was disappointed to know that In school when they were choosing the Posse Nomene they did not choose me. My interest in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. sparked when I met Sheila Hudson. At the time I had no idea that she was an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. Throughout my high school career, I was forced into many situations where I was challenged to connect with my peers and serve as a role model for future students. Whether it be my involvement in the school marching band, or helping students in community tutoring sessions, I have always made it my goal to better the people around me through my own efforts. Throughout my high school career, I have put forth my best effort to connect with my peers, transform individuals, and make a difference in my community. Joining the school marching band at the beginning of my freshman year of high school was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
