JROTC programs help improve Cadets leadership roles, responsibilities, and help make them aware of their rights and privileges outside of high school and into the real world. Learning from JROTC programs can help Cadets figure out a career path to choose. An event taking place with Cadets all from different schools that include activities such as include scavenger hunts, river crossings and bridge building, capture the flag, obstacle courses, can improve and help Cadets figure out what role they are best at being in a team and figure out their strengths and weaknesses when it comes to being part of a team. Throughout the years of being a part of Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, (NJROTC) one can start to see a trend. From unmotivated Naval Science One cadets to motivated and dedicated Naval Science Three and Four cadets. It’s due to the fact that we have instructors who guide and mentor us, and teach us how to apply the lessons we learn into everyday scenarios. As time passes, you realize that you have become a more involved active citizen in the United States. It’s beneficial because current events have created a spike in debates.
After summer break, I returned to Westlake High School for my junior year, feeling as if something was missing. The decision to spearhead the creation of a chapter of the Science National Honor Society (SNHS) at my school arose because of my desire to establish a niche where high school students could express their shared passion for the sciences. The SNHS would provide enlightening scientific activities and opportunities for students, and the Science club would serve as a path to introduce members into the society. I initially proposed the creation of the society in a meeting with the Principal and Board of Education. Quite a few obstacles had to be overcome to start a new organization in the school.
When I first stumbled upon this scholarship from the American Legion, I knew right away that I wanted to apply for it because of the similarities between what the American Legion and what I both stand for. I few words that I would use to describe the American Legion and myself would be, service, integrity, and hard work. These are a few things that I take very seriously and attempt to involve in my life everyday. I pride myself on these high character traits and try to use them in my community, during sporting events, at home, and at my school. I also implement these traits while fulfilling my civic duties by doing service around my community.
The National Honor Society organization functions as a symbol of excellence and brilliance of Egg Harbor Township High School. As a committed and goal-oriented individual with more energy than a billion watts, I know that being a member of your well-respected organization would allow me the opportunity to help my community, school, character development and scholastic abilities, and most notably, mutually benefit National Honor Society to the best of my ability. After high school, I plan to attain a degree in pre-medicine, as I have always had a rewinding image in my mind of becoming a doctor. I plan on going to medical school to advance in my studies, towards my career.
I would like to become an active member of Carrboro High School’s National Honor Society in order to benefit my community through service. I am immensely committed to serving and improving my community, as I have made distinctly clear with my 143 service hours. Through these service hours, I have focused on the improvement of the future community by helping disenfranchised refugee children coming from horrible living conditions in Western Africa, by teaching children about biology, chemistry, and scientific history, by preparing freshmen for their high school careers, by raising money to protect and aid voiceless animals hurt in car crashes and other human infringements, and by creating rain gardens, planting food crops, and decreasing Carrboro High School’s environmental
I’ve always wanted to work for a Japanese financial company. By participating in the JET Program, I would be able to surround myself with Japanese people, culture, and more importantly is that I can learn and practice the language. I believe that one can fully master a foreign language if they surround themselves with native speakers in order to practicing listening and speaking skills. If accepted into the JET Program, I will fully absorb myself with the Japanese culture and language. So, I can prepare myself well for any future jobs interviews in Japanese.
Cade Young Borger Middle School NJHS Application Essay May 10, 2023 Being accepted for membership in the National Junior Honor Society would be a great honor. The National Junior Honor Society will be an opportunity for me to show that even with a learning disability like dyslexia. Hard work strong determination and willingness you can overcome any obstacles you face. I know I can be a valuable member of the NJHS because, I carry all the qualities required by this organization: character, citizenship, leadership and service.
I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. We Still Need the Airman Program The new method of training entry level airman has placed an undue burden on flight crew and maintainers by placing an increased demand on current qualified personnel for operational readiness. Integration of the airman program into ‘A’ school has made it less effective. The airman program provides exposure and on the job training to potential candidates prior to attending aviation classes ‘A’ school, reducing the likelihood of junior members choosing the wrong career path. The airman program is an essential tool in evaluating how successful an individual will be in an aviation rating.
The National Junior Honor Society is in charge of some of Westampton Middle School’s most memorable and successful projects. The success of the National Junior Honors Society depends heavily on the reliability of its members. I feel that my reliability can be part of the force that keeps this trend going.
