I want to be a part of Enactus SFU because I want to create a foundation for me to build on throughout my post-secondary career. I find Enactus as a great opportunity for me to grow my roots and learn. Also, the fact that I've only been in SFU for one month and have known plenty of great individuals in Enactus urged me to apply for the club. I aspire to be apart of Enactus. As a first year SFU student, I am willing to put in the hours to set a solid base for my skills to grow on, create connections, and branch out of my comfort zone.
As an inducted member of the organization, I would love to see the organization grow its presence and impact both within the community and on campus. I personally did not know about the Abeneefoo Kuo Society until after receiving the email and then going to the UGA multicultural programs and services page to gather more information. After reading what the society stood for I immediately knew it was an organization that I wanted to be a part of and wanted more people to know about! The mission statement as well as the specific goals of the society are positively impactful to not only the members of the society but also those with whom are served. A community service project that I would like to see added to the involvement agenda would be a leadership training day with a local school.
I work in health care I am a respiratory therapist in the next 10yrs I would like to see myself in a leadership position or an educator, I would like to stay within my scope of study in respiratory care. As a therapist we see the stunning recovery of patients from a traumatic accident to walking out of rehab. In health care you see patients get a second chance in life. After taking the Focus2 self-assessment my interest profile suggests I work in a social environment because, I enjoy helping people or enterprising suggesting I am ambitious and like to take initiative. The profile paired me with jobs like health care facilities inspectors or family social worker, which showed a median pay of 48,340 (Bureau of Labor Statistic,

Alabama School of Mathematics and Science is a riveting high school that I would love to become a student of. I believe that I deserve an opportunity to enroll because I wish to prepare for my future as best as I can, I have an interest in the school’s courses and activities, and ASMS provides a better learning experience than my current school. I know that ASMS would greatly prepare me for my future. I wish to attend college and medical school to become a psychiatrist, and ASMS would ready me for the hardships of both. It would also give me the chance to explore my options to see if that really is the path I wish to follow for my career.
Medicine is the science of the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease, right? I used to believe this statement to be true. After all, my understanding of medicine is rooted in the empirical, the tangible—the science. However, as I delved deeper into the world of osteopathy, I realized such a narrow view only scratches the surface. Medicine is a multifaceted tapestry woven from threads of science, art, and philosophy.
I began my education at Stephen F. Austin State University, which was founded as a teacher’s college in 1923. That is why I chose SFASU because I wanted to teach children, plus I wanted to concentrate on teaching them to read. I received my B.S. in Elementary Education and Generic Special Education in 1985. I concentrated on working with the at-risk population and began my journey as an educator in January 1986. I quickly realized that I had a thirst for knowledge and set a goal to continue my education until one day I would receive my doctorate in education.
The short story “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson is about a village and community that follow their traditions. In the novel, The Giver by Lois Lowry Jonas wanted his fellow citizens to change and thereby give up Sameness. In the Giver, Luis Lowry's own memories emphasize the themes in The Giver, including the importance of individuality and freedom of choice, and the need for caring relationships between all human beings despite their differences. Jonas Said “We gained control of many things” (Lowry 34).
My desire to become a civil engineer bloomed in my first trip to Yosemite National Park, where my second grade self was introduced to the beauties of the natural world. There, as I slept in a rugged canvas cabin, living and breathing nature for the first time, nature seeped into my blood. The proximity opened my ears to the minute details, a pollen pod bursting as it reaches the floor, sap glistening as it hardens on bark. Whenever I returned from Yosemite, my senses would be dazed, full of pine and sunlight.
Hello! Welcome to the Jr. Honors Academy! We are so excited for an amazing year! My name is Crista Ponder, and I will be serving as the Jr. Honors Academy sponsor. I am the 8th-grade Science and Social Studies Teacher at Riverdale.
When I graduate and get older one of the other ways that I plan to give back to Hawai’i is to do like community service or like support any sort of public gathering or occasions such as a peace day parade, cherry blossom festival, and the county fair. I hope that when I give back to people in hawaii and the people that helped me out along the way, that they will appreciate it and appreciate my work that I do for them. If a family has electric problems at home I will fix it and make it seem like it’s brand new again, and if a family has any other kind of problems that they need fixing I still will try my best to help them solve the problem even if I am not to experienced in whatever it is. I believe that if every person gives back to their community then good things will come their way and that way everybody is happy enough to keep that cycle going for awhile. This is why I plan do just do whatever I can to try my hardest to give back to Hawaii and my community.
The AVID program has had a positive impact in my academics, and in my life by helping me focus, enrich, and solidify my goals. I can say with full confidence that AVID has become an integral part of my High School year that equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in college. As an immigrant who came to the United States five years ago and English being my third language, the AVID program challenged me to think critically and strive to learn more. Personality wise, there are major changes that I observed once I joined the program.
A small goal that I want to achieve in my senior year, is to expand the Beta Club within my cluster. Currently the Beta Club is only available to eighth-graders in my cluster’s middle school and throughout all grades in my high school. My goal is expand the Beta Club to be available to all middle school students from sixth-grade to eighth-grade, which will instill the values of Beta from an earlier age. Evenso, I want to go even farther than this and expand the Beta Club to all of my cluster elementary schools, and allow students as young as eight years old to be able to join an organization that has helped me become the person I am today. If this is accomplished, which I intend it to be, a student in my cluster could be in Beta Club from third-grade
Walter Gropius and the Eames were both at the top of their game during the 1900s. Although they did not have any relations or work experience together, they have many things in common. Gropius was a modern architect; he designed many modern structures from high schools to factories and even his own home. His style was very clean cut which made his designs very dynamic. Gropius's career launched in the postwar period.
