As a student with many qualities, I believe that I should be in the NJHS. Many of the traits that I have as an individual would benefit the standards that the NJHS expects. For instance, I am dedicated, diligent, responsible, and a strong leader. One trait I show off daily is my dedication for school. My priorities are set on getting good grades and working hard on my school work.
The reason that I, Joshua Timmerman, wrote this essay is because I want to apply to the National Junior Honors Society. There are many reasons that I should be in this wondrous society, and I will list all of them to the fullest extent that is possible. Reason 1: Social Skills. I can clearly see that social skills are fundamental at NJHS. The social aspect I can follow completely.
The National Honor Society is preeminent for recognizing students with imminent grades and honorable characters, I believe this organization makes a great impact in the community and helps in the overall betterment of the student as well. I would like to be assimilated in these community services to my school and to my community. I have heard how this club makes a person a better leader with a good character and discipline. I have been looking forward to this opportunity since the beginning of High School. To me, NHS’s four pillars are essential elements to being a member of this society.
The National Honor Society is an organization that enables high school students to help and improve their school and neighboring communities. It is an immense honor and privilege to be invited to be a member of this association, and it would be an even greater honor to actively participate and add to the existing society in ACST. Joining the National Honor Society would help me grow as a person and allow me to demonstrate the 4 pillars of NHS, in effect helping our school community and region in general. Leadership and service are both exhibited by all NHS members. This year, I have been starting to become both a silent and appointed leader in class.
Why do I want to be a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority incorporated? Since I was a little girl I had grown up on the expectation that once I got to college I would pursue joining the organization Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority incorporated. Because this was instilled in me since I could really talk I never really question the idea. But once I got to college I began to truly question why I wanted to be a member.
To be a successful, it is essential to show all five pillars of National Junior Honor Society. I believe that I represent these elements and can fulfill the requirements of the organization. As a consistent straight-A student, I demonstrate the ability to complete assignments responsibly with a persistent growth mindset. To be scholarly, I focus during tasks while managing my limited time.
National Junior Honor Society Essay Being a member of National Junior Honor Society interests me in a number of ways. I believe I excel in all five criteria of NJHS: academics, leadership, service, citizenship, and character, and being a part of this national organization will help me improve much more in each of the categories. I am also interested knowing that having membership in NJHS will help my future career and bring a lasting impression to many people. Scholarship is important in people’s lives; it both helps their futures and encourages them to do more work academic related. I have succeeded in many tasks academically.
The National Honor Society shapes a bright future for high school kids who are willing to demonstrate service, leadership, scholarship, and good character at an exquisite level. A primary function of this organization is to generate young adults who will bring a better frame of mind to improve them and their community. Lastly, The National Honor Society is mainly high school kids, so unforgettable memories and friendships will come about this great organization. If I were to be accepted into such a great organization, I would definitely commit to bringing more positive minds in my community. One of my short-term goals is to maintain my standing in the National Honor Society for my senior year. To keep this honor I must maintain a 3.75 grade point average in high school. This goal will be tough to accomplish considering that I am taking nine hours of concurrent classes each semester at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. It is very difficult to make good grade in college while I am still in high school because of all the extra-curricular activities I am involved in. Most college students have to go to class until noon and then they have the rest of the day to do homework or study.
I feel as though I could benefit National Honor Society through my leadership qualities, willingness to dedicate my time to the community, positive character, and perseverance to succeed in academics. While I may not hold many leadership positions at this time, I am able to step up and take charge in any necessary situations. Additionally, one can see that it is important that I take time out of my day to serve others as I devote two hours each weekend to volunteer. My academic standing is also of importance to me, believing that consistency in school is a crucial factor in achieving success. I challenge myself by choosing to take any honors or AP classes available and striving to put forth utmost effort in each class.
I want to be part of something bigger than myself and it was an honor to even have the opportunity to be a member of the National Junior Honor Society. If you choose me or not, I will show you the four pillars of my school everyday in class and when I am not. I want to be more involved in the development of my school and want to be more informed on what is happening. I will display respect for others, kindness towards people, even if they are not kind to me. I will maintain the grade average and I will try to go above the grade average.
I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.
The first reason for why I want to be in National Junior Honor Society is because it just seems like it is exciting . You know helping the community and doing event that I don’t think that I would do or just ever go on my spare time . Plus it is also a chance to meet new people and make more friends . The second reasons is because in the message it states “Membership is prestigious, and only the brightest and most studious get to apply.” So this makes me think this is important and not everyone can just enter and apply .This was also given to a handful amount of people .
National Junior Honor Society is the start of everything. This group helps set me up for my years to come. Being in the NJHS it helps me get into the one in high school, which looks really good one college applications. Having national junior honor society for both middle school and high school would give me a better chance to get into a college I really want to get into. I’ve always wanted to be someone who could help or make a change in this world, instead of just trying to get through life easy.
It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.
