In America we look at people, other countries, and foreigners look at us in a false sense. It is common when somebody first gets introduced to start to judge you. Some of these judgements are correct and many are wrong. I have drawn conclusions about someone just after fifteen seconds of speaking with the person. Outside of our nation this often happens to travelling Americans. The native people may look at the American happily because they think they are rich or they may look down upon them because the way we live our life is not aligned with how they choose to live theirs. The population around our world as a whole has a stereotyping view.

I do not believe I am an over-consumer, but I do not always spend money wisely. I put a large sum of my money towards specific items and do not take heed to a bill that I may have to pay in a few weeks. I am not obese, but do eat large portions and fast food frequently. I do have family members that are obese though and they do eat large portions as well, but I make sure that I don’t continuously eat unhealthy because that is how obesity occurs. My main language that I speak is English and that is all that I can speak fluently as an American, so I am monolingual. As a whole, I would say that the stereotypes that other countries view Americans as are true. We are not all rich, loud, monolingual, loud, or violent so these stereotypes are not totally accurate. There are many rich Americans, but there even more poor Americans. In America, it is more common to meet someone that is just an English speaker rather a bilingual person. When you walk to streets of an average American city like Los Angeles, people are not hollering at each other just to tell their message. Neither is it unsafe to go out late at night at a normal city. Actually America is not even one of the top twenty most dangerous countries in the
