The name of the film I chose is American History X.
American History X was released on October 30th, 1998.
The characters in the film are identified as racist individuals that take upon situations that occurred in their past against a certain race.
The plot of the film is about a white, young, and racist man named Derek who is the leader of a Neo-Nazi group. While growing up, Derek was a good student and had everything going for him until his father was killed by a black man. He was then forced to drop out of school and support his family. He started following a white supremacy group and became the leader of it. After murdering two black men who were trying to steal his vehicle, he was sent to prison for 3 years. Being there and facing some rough situations in prison, Derek slowly changed and forced into accepting black people and learned that hate is a waste of time. After being released from prison, his beliefs and views have changed and he attempts to save his brother from making the same mistakes.

The film deals with concepts such as racism, white supremacy, immigrants, minorities and more. Racism is one of the biggest flaws humanity has exercised throughout history and continues to exercise in today’s society.
In this film, there are negative stereotypes and are a central part of the plot since the main characters are Neo-Nazis and that after having an encounter with blacks, in which they hated before, realized how pointless holding hatred against an entire race was. This can be observed when Derek’s father rants at the dinner table about how black literature is false and how blacks have cheated their way to where they are and they should not be respected, which shows how his personal experiences led to his hatred of an entire race and how this hatred could fall into Derek and would eventually to
